Time in saddle 8hrs 41 mins. Miles covered 108.80. Asses very sore. Emotions up and down. Terrain even more up and down. Cycling through Oregon forest at 10.30pm in the pitch black is not a good idea. Ted ended the cycle the stronger man as I struggled to maintain pace and ran out of steam. I found out the next morning that it was pure fear that drove him to such physical endurance!
